Pink Paws
Exceptional Achievement
Project "Pink Paw" initially started with the purpose of saving young animals that were abandoned on the street and taking them to a proper shelter for their safety. However, because of the ongoing pandemic crisis, the shelter was facing a shortage of volunteers, so we decided to foster the little ones ourselves until the circumstance gets better. In addition to the first purpose, while fostering our two lovely stray kittens “Biiyong” and “Aeyong”, we become more interested in saving animals and after doing some research, we heard that zoo animals are suffering from hunger due to the severe loss of tourists. After some discussion in our group, we decided to expand our opportunities and started to adopt zoo animals virtually by donating money to them. We currently adopted 2 animals from “Zoo Negara” and 1 Sun Bear from "Borneon Sun Bear Conservation Center" in Malaysia and looking for ways to promote this issue across the world. In the coming months when Covid-19 cases are reducing, we hope to volunteer ourselves in animal shelters and zoos to help cleaning the place and to feed the animals.
Project Goals
Providing love towards the animals that were abandoned by the owners or their parents on the street. Providing in-kind donations to the animal shelters or zoos that are facing financial crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Help cleaning the animal shelters and provide a better and cleaner place for animals to stay in. Increase awareness and encourage society to proceed with more In-person adoption and virtual adoption to help save the animals. #savetheanimals
