What We Do
"Hope is where the heart is"
We know that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Our Volunteer Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch VolunFlex.

High school students who are interested in learning Computer Science could learn them in English instead of Malay Language.

Sharing knowledge and creating awareness about the equipment that helps farmers in Malaysia to spray pesticides more efficiently, which takes a shorter time. Besides, a piece of equipment that helps overcome the labor shortage problem in Malaysia. Building our own prototype of inexpensive and good quality drones for farmers who cannot afford those expensive drones in the market.

Inspired - Studying With Me on Cloud
During the COVID 19 period, students face great challenges under the online study environment. My project aims to help students to form organized study plans, become more self-disciplined and achieve their life goals in the broader sense. Together with help from VolunFlex members, I create an online Zoom study room for students studying all around the world at different time zones. By designing an encouragement mechanism to record daily attendance, and sharing tips from professional books, students can learn to develop healthy and scientific study habit. We are running the project via multiple online platform, for example, Facebook and Instagram.
Fundraiser Flex
Helping others, making a difference, and raising money for a good cause gives us a real boost. No matter how you choose to fundraise, how much you raise, or whether you do it regularly or just as a one-off, fundraising brings a sense of fulfillment like no other. We can’t think of any better reason to get involved. Fundraising is one of the most selfless things you can do and many people are drawn to it as a way of giving back. Charities rely on voluntary donations and could not fund their work without the time and generosity of a committed army of volunteer fundraisers. You’ll get a real sense of satisfaction from knowing you’re giving back and helping out your local/the international community. Getting involved in raising money is of great value to raise awareness about a particular issue or cause. It may be something close to your heart, or a local organization that you admire. Helps raise awareness (and vital funds) for a well-deserving charity, enabling them to educate and inform the public – and raise even more valuable funds in the future.
Nihongogo.desu
The project is run by native Japanese speakers studying in American colleges. We will introduce five basic Japanese vocabularies every week spelling out in all forms of Japanese written language, including kanji, hiragana, and romaji along with the video of native Japanese speakers having conversations using five vocabularies in daily situations. There will be a quiz to take after listening to the conversations to check your understanding of vocabularies and practice answering a question in Japanese.
Foothill International Students Connection
Foothill International Students Connection (ISC) is a community that cares for the spiritual, practical, and emotional needs of international students by creating opportunities for fellowship and intentional relationship building. We are a community of international students coming together as a family, a home away from home for the next couple of years before transferring to another university. ISC also celebrates our different cultures and enhances appreciation for them within the Foothill College community.
Climate Action Now
Due to the climate change crisis, we can no longer delay climate action. Climate Action Now shares vital information regarding climate change issues and keeps people aware of climate change through social media platforms. Climate Action Now introduces the ways to start climate action and provides guidelines for climate actions. By doing so, it lets people approach climate change prevention easily by starting from making little changes in their life. Climate Action Now engages Foothill College students to start climate action and contribute to preventing climate crisis as a community.
